Three Academic Libraries Awarded Grants for Key Projects

Among the 16 school, public and academic libraries to be awarded grants, yesterday, for innovative projects designed to improve library services and life-long learning by the Colorado State Library, three went to college and university libraries. (Adams State College's Nielsen Library pictured.)


CSU's Colorado Real Estate Conference to Tackle Smart Growth, Smart Money

Forest City and Continuum Partners, two major developers recognized for smart-growth building projects in Denver, will be among the companies featured at Colorado State University's 12th annual Colorado Real Estate Conference, "Smart Growth Implications for Colorado's Future." Developmental Educators to Gather at ACC for Fall Conference

The next Adams State College Faculty Lecture addresses "Virtual Track Marks: A Discussion on Technological Addictions," Oct. 22, with Dr. Brent King, assistant professor of psychology.


Aims to Host Collegiate Flight Competition

The Aims Community College Flight Team will host a competition between six schools from three states at the National Intercollegiate Flying Association's SAFECON event, Oct. 15 through Oct. 18 at the Greeley/Weld County airport.


New CU-Boulder Position Focused on Preventing Gender Violence

Davian Gagne, an experienced social worker and outreach director, has been named the gender violence prevention and education coordinator for the University of Colorado at Boulder, a new five-year position that was created as part of the Lisa Simpson lawsuit settlement.


Mines LED-Powered Mountainside M Unveiled

Colorado School of Mines students recently unveiled an improved mountainside monument powered by energy efficient LED bulbs during a ribbon-cutting ceremony on the intramural fields on the school's campus in Golden.
