STERLING - During an April practice session for the Northeastern Junior
College baseball team, Reverend David Baines from the New Beginnings
Church stopped by to deliver a thank you card from the children in his
congregation that were given new bicycles, purchased and delivered
by the NJC players and coaches, at Christmas time. 

The players had donated out of their own pockets to buy eight bikes
which were given to the kids at the church, through a random drawing.
Players and coaches had fun reading the messages written by the
