ASC Presents Percussion Spectacular to Celebrate Cinco de Mayo

ALAMOSA – A crowd favorite, the Adams State Percussion Spectacular will be presented Cinco de Mayo, May 5, in the Richardson Hall Auditorium.
The program ranges from the ASC Percussion Ensemble performing works by Sejourne, Gillingham, Naranjo, and paying tribute to the veterans of World War II with the moving composition, Normandy Beach-1944. The Rocky Mountain Pan Handlers Steel Drum Band and the SLV Community Steel Drum Band will play traditional island favorites, as well as tunes by Dave Matthews and Van Morrison. Be prepared to take your shot at the piñata while to the steel drums put you in the mood for Cinco de Mayo.
The concert begins at 7 p.m., May 5. Admission is $5 for adults, $1 for students and is free to AS&F and Friends of Music.
